Seamless Gutters & Downspouts

The quality of the workmanship always determines the quality of the gutter system

	Quality gutters are manufactured by Standard Roofing Company by running coils of sheetmetal through a “rolling machine.” These are “seamless.” We once installed one section of gutter that was 460 feet long. When new gutters are being installed it is important they are properly attached to the building and “flashed” to the roof during the roof installation, not before or after.

ALUMINUM

“032” aluminum sheets in coils have been factory coated with Kynar. The Kynar finish is warranted by the manufacturer for 40 years. Standard Roofing Company “rolls” the gutters to any required length and installs them to the roof. All corner joints are riveted and then sealed with 50-year caulking. Matching aluminum conductor pipes can then be installed. Numerous colors are available. Custom colors are also available at an extra cost.

COPPER (Conventional)

“20 ounce” copper sheets in coils are “rolled” to any required length and installed to the roof. All corners are riveted and soldered. Matching copper conductor pipes can then be installed. This gutter system can be painted or left to patina by the atmosphere.

COPPER (Round)

Numerous Victorian (and other types) roofs have round turrets. The original gutters were always redwood and by now have failed due to dry rot. One way of replacing these gutters is by soldering small sections of straight gutter together. A better way is by creating a round gutter from 40 ounce copper. We frequently use the “round” gutters, although they are very expensive.


	GALVANIZED STEEL Galvanized steel gutters are factory made in standard lengths and connected together “on-site”. They rust quickly, the joints frequently leak and their life expectancy is short. Standard Roofing Company does not install galvanized steel gutters.


	PLASTIC Plastic gutters are made for the “do it yourself” homeowner. Professional contractors do not install plastic gutters.
